Mick Sawyer, a.k.a. "Ronnie Van Zant"

I have being a massive music fan all my life, starting with a bit of a teen obsession with "Tyrannosaurus Rex" and anything to do with Marc Bolan (especially the early stuff) . "Jethro Tull",,, another of my all time favourites, but my interest in live music was ignited by "Dr Feelgood" in 77 at the Saint Georges hall in Bradford, what a gig that was ! and has left an impression on me to this day, the raw energy was overwhelming and I always think back to this night during my own live performances. A mild interest in Lynyrd Skynyrd has (on a lot of listening and research) turned into a similar obsession, what a talented, brilliant band they are, awesome song writing that hits the blue collar working man right in the gut every time! The story of the band is enough to bring the most stonehearted man to his knees with emotion. I love Skynyrd with a passion that i thought i had grown out of, and to perform their songs with "Aynt Skynyrd" is a privilage that words cannot describe.
